You Deserve a Wedding Planner
So often, I get asked, "Why should I hire a wedding planner? If I'm able to do everything, what's the benefit?" Past brides can tell you exactly what the benefit is, but if you've never been married before, it can be difficult to make that decision. Today's post is all about peeking behind the curtain and explaining why you should hire a wedding planner.
4 Reasons to Hire a Wedding Planner
You, as an excited bride and soon-to-be wife, deserve it. Imagine yourself starting your wedding day. Do you want to feel stressed about everything happening on time, worried you missed something or feeling simply exhausted, overwhelmed, and frustrated? Or, would you rather be excited, relaxed, pampered, joyous, and ready? It is possible to plan a wedding stress-free. Hire a planner for yourself.
You get time back. Planning a wedding is literally a full-time job. When you're already working a full-time job and living your life, your time off quickly becomes filled with updating the budget, researching vendors, and going back and forth emailing your thoughts. Since wedding planning is our full-time job, let a planner do that job for you. That leaves you with weekends free to spend with your fiance, dreaming about the future!
It's not just for you...
Do it for your family + wedding party. I have no doubt your family will jump in to help with your vision and offer their assistance with whatever you need, but I'm pretty sure you really just want them to help you celebrate your marriage and enjoy themselves, right?
I can't say it any more perfectly than Ruth from Raise the Ruth Events: "If you are anything like me, I cannot rest easy knowing that my loved ones are carrying an undue burden. A wedding planner allows these special people in your life to help you lay the first bricks of your new life together, but takes away the frustrating and the stressful parts, and honestly – the parts that most brides don’t think about when they start wedding planning."
...it's even for your vendors!
Your other vendors will love you! Having a planner doesn't only make your wedding experience better; it makes their experience better, too! Your other vendors can focus solely on their craft and delivering the best experience possible. A planner--there to oversee everything--can be an extra set of hands, if need be.
"It's often one of the first questions I ask my couples at their consultations: Are you guys hiring a wedding planner? Often when there isn't a planner involved, a lot of the last minute changes or on-the-day stresses fall on the other suppliers to iron out, or worse, on already stressed-out family members. It may seem like you're just signing up to plan a big party, how hard can that be right? But often, you'll very quickly realize all the intricacies that go along with the planning process. I like to suggest to my couples that while they enjoy their one and only wedding day, they hand over the reigns and put their trust in someone who gets to experience one every weekend." -- Christine, Christine W Photography
Hiring a wedding planner isn't just for the brides who don't know where to start with planning. It's something every bride should consider; not just for yourself and your groom, but to bless your family, friends, and vendors with an amazing day as well!
